Dear Dog Pack and Friends,

Wow, the power of the pack (The Dog Pack) has never been more evident than it was this Sunday, September 28th at Pompano’s first Responsible Dog Owner Day Event in Pompano Beach! The Dog Pack of Pompano Beach is made up of a group of people who work seamlessly with one another, they are passionate about their cause, they are committed to doing things the right way, and best of all; I know I can really count on them to deliver!  Even the forces of nature were with us Sunday. The weather was nothing but sunshine…not a drop of rain until the event was completely over and packed up!

Thanks to all of the Dog Pack volunteers who showed me the fantastic stuff they are made of on Sunday.  It is a pleasure and a privilege to know you! You all worked tirelessly in the heat, and kept your cool.

Thanks to everyone who so generously donated merchandise, gave us ice, used all of their creative powers, gave us raffle items, lent us tables, and other items and did whatever else I asked you to do without complaining.  We put on one heck of an event!

Thanks to the guests who ran information booths also.  Together we really do make a difference, in the lives of the dogs we love.  I am happy to report that Doberman Rescue found a forever home for the beautiful rescue dog they brought to the event!  Thanks to all of the Friends of the Pack who came by to visit and to all the Pack members stopped by for a hug and a sniff!

        We had hundreds of visitors to our information booths. We made a lot of new friends. We are well on the way to filling up our Responsible Pet owner book. We sold all of our micro chips!  And I am happy to say that now Pompano has 6 more Canine Good Citizens! Thanks to Pet Supermarket for hosting and participating in the event.

Truly a good time was had by all!
